If this isn't what you meant, then I apologize for the misunderstanding. You need t divide them into two sheets (but again, that is that as far as I know). That is unless the spaces between each sprite is different for example if you have a sheet of 5 objects 2 of which are 32 x 32 and 2 are 16 x 32 in that case, getting that as 1 sheet into Construct 2 will be a problem. But I never imported a sprite from a sheet and it changed its size, it always uses its same size. Well, perhaps online games with authoritative servers might be pesky but even those are doable. However, at the moment, I rarely find anything hard to do with Construct 2. Well every engine has its limitations and what you can do and can't do with it. That aside there are other games to attest to the quality of games C2 can make for example Ballistic Tanks a quite recent release as well as Klang. The second thing, that isn't entirely true. The engine is capable of doing anything, the problem is with the games/developers. The lack of successful games isn't C2's problem primarily. Well here is why I am against this statement.

On the other hand, if you need to you can use Install Creator from CTF to do it, here is a bit of an old guide about it. Node-Webkit can export to Desktop without any extra plugins as far as I am aware and here is a thread to confirm it. Specially in the Events sheet.īefore answering your questions though a couple of things to note about the assumptions you made regarding C2: It just feels weird and isn't readable/easy to understand as much as C2. Well I have been using C2 for a couple of years on and off and I did try CTF once on the free version and I must say.
I am going to put a lot of time and energy into becoming proficient in one of these engines and I'm slightly leaning towards CTF2.5 because I have the full premium version already with all exporters. What other opinions or thoughts do you have on the topic? If the same game was made in each engine, which version of the game would you buy? Which engine would you rather be proficient in and why? (What I mean by this is, if you see that a game was made in CTF2.5 or C2, do you have any preconceived notions or thoughts about the dev/game quality before even playing the game?) What is the public or Game Dev community's opinion on games made with each of those mentioned engines?

My goal is to create a fun platformer that I can introduce to the Android market or Steam Greenlight as a FREE game. I have put an equal amount of time and practice into each engine and I am on the fence about which engine I should really focus all of my efforts into learning. for the time being I want to create a game (for myself) using Construct 2 or Clickteam Fusion 2.5. I have also taken a class in building games with the XNA framework and I didn't like not having a set engine to work with. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot but I'm realizing that my C# (which is limited at best) is not going to be sufficient and I already have a full time job so putting in the necessary time to learn C# right now is just not looking to be the correct option for me. I took several classes based on Unity and C#. I recently had gotten into video game development. I came to reddit because I feel the feedback on Steam or on the forums for these engines is going to be biased.
